Harsens Island, Michigan
For our work on this cottage at Harsen’s Island, Glazing Vision worked with the outstanding architect Robert Lipka. As part of renovations to the entire cottage, we installed our RL4 Skydoor on the roof terrace of the property, which overlooks the beautiful Lake St Clair.
This was an extensive project, in which all of the original 1900s pilings had to be replaced before the rebuilding work was started. The property itself is completely unique, as it’s set entirely on water – you can feel the waves beneath the floorboards each time a boat goes by, and neighbors are all connected by a Boardwalk from which they can fish, or take a boat.
The result of the project is a stunning rooftop balcony – the ideal entertaining space for watching the sunsets over the lake – all accessible via our modern Skydoor.
