Our range of opening skylights includes either hinged or sliding units, which can be operated at the touch of a button for day to day use. During the festival, the hydraulic mechanism can be isolated from your electricity supply and the skylights opened using a manual pump.
As depicted in The Jerusalem Talmud, a skylight which can be covered in thatching may be a qualified Sukkah – meaning you can celebrate within your home by surrounding your roof opening with sechach.

Our most common Sukkah skylight build is for sliding skylights. In one of our most notable Sukkah Rooflight projects, we were able to install a Sliding Over Roof skylight, which slid completely off the roof and provided a full opening to be used during the festival period.
The hydraulic pump enabled the owner to open the skylight manually during the festival of Sukkot. Whilst still maintaining a wow factor sliding skylight throughout the rest of the year.
Our hydraulically hinged Skydoor access skylight was specified at Le Cordon Bleu restaurant, a world renowned network of educational institutions dedicated to providing the highest level of culinary and hospitality instruction and education.
